- Our restaurant has two types of seating: table seating and traditional floor seating. During peak hours the line may extend out through the restaurant's entrance, but with our 86 seat capacity we will have you seated within about 15 minutes on average.
- This landmark of Miyajima appears off the shore of Mikasa-no-hama. The stunning great Torii (shrine gate) standing in the sea has been designated a UNESCO cultural world heritage site. Visitors from around the world come to see this shrine, one of the most famous in Japan.
- As you head towards Daisho-in, follow the gently inclined Taki-no-koji path. You can feel the history of the place as you pass the residences and dormitories of Shinto priests of old which line the path.
- Also known as Kiyomori-dori, this is Miyajima's main tourist street. Our restaurant is also located on this shopping street which leads to the shrine entrance. Every day, many tourists visit the souvenir shops and restaurants lining the street.
- One of the eight sights of Itsukushima, the famous sakura viewing spot known as Tanigahara is blanketed in cherry blossoms in the spring. As you walk along the path past the stone monument dedicated to the priest Seishin, you will see the picturesque view of the five-storied pagoda and Senjokaku side-by-side.
- Long ago this used to be the main street of Miyajima. Modern cafes and galleries line the way. Our sister store, Cafe Hayashiya, can also be found on Machiya-dori.
Our restaurant has both table seating and traditional floor seating, with a total capacity of 86. During peak hours there is a waiting list, but we will have you seated within about 15 minutes on average. We accept reservations between 10:30 am and 11:00 am only.
In order to allow you to take home some of the wonderful flavors of our food, we sell our original vinegar soy sauce, pickled oysters in oil, and flavored nori (seaweed) at the restaurant entrance.
