Best oyster Restaurant in Miyajima - "Yakigaki no hayashi"
Located eight minutes on foot from Miyajima Ferry Terminal, almost in the very center of Omotesando Shopping Street, “Yakigaki no Hayashi” is a restaurant specializing in oysters. This restaurant, the birthplace of the shell-cooked oyster, was the first in Japan to serve oysters cooked in the shell to guests. We use only the highest-quality brand oysters and cook them using a technique passed down since our founding.
The oysters we serve here at our restaurant are “Jigozen Oysters,” which have received numerous awards, including the Emperor’s Cup - Fisheries Agency Director Award. What’s more, we select only the “san-nen mono” (3 year) oysters which contain large amounts of meat an手焼きd have strong umami flavors.
