Located eight minutes on foot from Miyajima Ferry Terminal, almost in the very center of Omotesando Shopping Street, “Yakigaki no Hayashi” is a restaurant specializing in oysters. This restaurant, the birthplace of the shell-cooked oyster, was the first in Japan to serve oysters cooked in the shell to guests. We use only the highest-quality brand oysters and cook them using a technique passed down since our founding.

At our restaurant, guests can enjoy fresh raw oysters throughout the year. The stable temperatures and high salt content of the waters around Okurokami Island result in oysters of consistent, high quality. We have conducted our own norovirus testing for 10 years and have never once detected the virus in the oysters we use. We hope you will feel free to safely and securely enjoy the inherent flavor of our oysters.
